My mind is still processing the PoTC 2 movie. I just got back from Robinson's and right now, all I want is to talk about why it was so...hanging. 'Bitin' as we call it. Did they suddenly decide to pull an LoTR in the second movie? The Curse of the Black Pearl had a normal ending. But then, in the Dead's Man Chest, it was like, 'Eh.' Sparrow supposingly died, Norrington trades Jones' heart for his freedom, Swann and Turner and the rest of the pirate gang mourn for Sparrow, and Barbossa suddenly shows up in the end eating an apple. Insert end credits. I tell you, this is gonna get in my head. Oh, and another movie I'm wanting to see: Spiderman 3. I just saw its trailer and I'm already excited. Too bad it's coming out way soon: May 2007. I hate waiting that long.
To get my mind off things, there's this Black Eyed Peas concert coming up at the Araneta Coliseum. It would be really great if I could come. But there are certain problems, like how am I supposed to get there? Oh, I just hope things turn out well. Guess who decided to suddenly be active in orgs? Me. Sooner or later, a lot of things are gonna come my way, and I think they're going to be a little more than I can handle. What have I gotten myself into? But, there's always GOD to turn to. I LOVE Him.

» The weather the past week was not so good. I couldn't even walk home because the road was flooded. At least, we got a day's rest. That's gotta be worth something.

Family Matters

It's the weekend before midterms and I'm flying to Bacolod. It's my grandparents diamond wedding anniversary on July 3, so there's a lot of preparation going on back in my hometown. Especially in the [G] compound. It's like my debut all over again <I kind of miss those days>, but only this time, it's a much bigger event and the sad part is I won't be able to witness it . But I'll still upload some pictures, of course. After all, that's what landed me on a flight to Bacolod: a pictorial. I got to wear my prom dress again. And it doesn't come with memories . I'd rather not talk about it. So. Where were we? Oh, yeah. The pictorials. I chose my prom dress over my after-debut dress because I didn't want to have to wear a hideous pink dress in my grandparent's grandest <for now> wedding anniversary. Well, most of the family was there, wearing formal dresses with make-up, hairdos and everything. Maybe this was what it was like during my grandparent's golden wedding anniversary . Back then, I was still too young to remember. I saw the pink-and-blue cotillion dresses again, so I guess they're going to dance one more time for the wedding anniversary . And there's the rigodon <is that the spelling?> thingy, too. It's also like a cotillion only it's for a wedding. And the dancers are adults . Updates on this event when I can.
After I arrived in Bacolod, I went to USLS for [A]pril's Freshman Night. There was a pageant, dancing and all those kinds of stuff. Went to Korean Grille Bar, but then decided to hit Goldenfield. Time to test karaoke skills. I met some of [A]pril's classmates. I don't remember all of them, but I remember [C]lark, the gay genius <according to [A]pril>, [A]vril (?), driver for the night, [B]ench, [A]pril's singing partner, [B]J (?), the having-a-good-time?-guy and [G]retchen, the Tangub-based dancer plus more I don't remember. Descriptions are extracted as told by [A]pril. Okay. So, I'm not sure who they were. Whatever.
Tomorrow, I'm leaving for Manila and I'll be back to school problems and work, work, work. I finally went to [A]pril's new rented place. I think she's living with her brother, [A]donis, sister, [P]riscilla and nephew, [O]ris. I took a bath there <as if it were my home...hah!>. I tried tuning the guitar, but I got no luck. The pitch just got lower. [A]pril also told me that her friend had died. I think I've met her friend before. It's disturbing how one can be robbed of life at such a young age. I guess all you can really do is pray and live everyday of your life as if it were the last. Just live life to the fullest. [O]ris was getting really annoying, so I made my scary face and he bawled then yelled for mommy. Poor, poor [O]ris. Scared of a wittle facial distortion. Oh, and I cannot believe I left my cellphone in the compound. To self: Told you something was left behind.
I am getting very sleepy and I still have a 7 a.m. flight to catch tomorrow. 'Till next time. Baboosh.

Had an essay test in RELSTWO. Open notes. I love open notes tests. Continued and finished watching Supernatural today.

Anyway.
Another activity in JPRIZAL. I have a seatmate there who just pipes up for no apparent reason. And a teacher who believes in experimental teaching. Waha. I don't know how we're all being graded in this. Uh, did I just grade-grab? Yuck. Oh my gosh. I just remembered I haven't scheduled my interview yet. Ugh. How did I forget? Oh yeah. Maybe I was more preoccupied with my Menagerie interview which I think went terribly, not too mention very awkward (and uncomfortable?). Especially during the part where I was required to sing amongst the staff (i.e. people I don't know). Music person that I am, I couldn't think of a song to sing. Finally, I just decided to be a copycat. So embarrassing...maybe that's why scheduling my interview just slipped out of my mind.

Went to Holy Mass in Malate church (Da Vinci Code?). Took a peek (actually it was more than a peek) at the newly inaugurated SM Mall of Asia.

Monday

It's no class for me today 'coz i'm not yet really enrolled. Met [G]ail »LMG«, then [S]unette »BMG(?)«, then [A]dela »comsci(?)«. Other peeps: [K]evin, [A]ce, [J]annica, [G]en...we're all going in different directions now.

Yey. I'm enrolled! Met blockmates in the Dean's office: [A]ce, [W]ong and [N]ats. Happened to see [E]rika and [Z]endy. I wonder if they switched schools.

Tuesday

Today is [G]ail's birthday. Met up with [G]ail, [S]unette and [A]dela but it ended up short `coz we all had classes after (same time). ECONTWO was okay, I guess. The only people I know in that class were [G]ladys and [J]oel. ACCOM2A was not that okay. I didn't know anybody! I think it's gonna be my worst class. Today I am also happier with myself. I think I've finally opened my eyes to the world and the many opportunities it presents. I feel more free and confident than these past months. I'm gonna do better. There IS more to life. Do you think I'm weird 'coz my favorite guy in The O.C. is Seth Cohen? That was random. More to come.

Wednesday

I thought I was finished with that hell-hole of adjusting. But no. I just found out that I don't have to enroll in COMP1AE `coz my past computer subject (@#$%^&*!) was already credited. So I'd have to adjust again. I dropped COMP1AE online. Now I only have 15 units.

Thursday

First FINAMA1 class and I have this classmate who kind of looks like [J]. I can't really tell though `coz I'm not really up to staring at people I don't know. It's just weird. Oh, and you know what's weirder? Okay. Get this. Remember my worst subject, ACCOM2A? This guy who sat behind me pulled my hair. MY BRAIN: Uhh..who did that? I »kind of« don't know ANYBODY here. I turned around to see who the culprit might be. Guy Behind Me (amongst snickers and whispers from his friends who are...uhm...totally surrounding me!) : Oh, sorry...I thought you were someone else. Then he explains why blah blah and apologizes, says sorry whatever. ME: It's okay. (Which, by the way, I had to do more than once because his friends wouldn't stop teasing and he wouldn't stop apologizing. Then the girl who I was mistaken to be said, He's [J], by the way. And I'm, like, Haha... Then a big smile . It was just so embarrassing. And to imagine that they were practically a whole row (or more) of friends. Argh! To make it worse.

Friday

Can you believe I just skipped my MATECO1 class? And [G]en said they had a test. Bad timing? So I finished the second season of The O.C. I kind of hoped things would change and maybe take a turn for the better (a.k.a. my way), but guess what? The first three (was it? ) episodes of season 3 just SUCK. I'm sick of the Marissa/Ryan thing and the Summer/Seth thing. It is so cliche. Why can't they, like, make an unpredictable twist to make it interesting instead of just plain, dragging BORING.

Whisked Off To A College-Free Kingdom

.~`Hey. Papa's already arrived and it's as if I don't care that I'm still not enrolled in school! But there's no point in feeling all drab and miserable, right? So, yesterday, Tita [A]my, [L]enie and I went to Enchanted Kingdom. It was a sort-of on-the-spot decision (I have those very often). I said, These are the last days of my summer. So why don't we go to EK tomorrow? Just like that. And off we went.`~.
.~`We let a shuttle bus (which was actually a van) take us to the theme park. I recognized someone when we were waiting at the terminal in Park Square 2. From my former school (SSA). Something Nandwani (maybe Recca?) Anyway, there were many people cramped inside the van...about 18. A bunch of foreign sounding people, too, maybe Chinese. I'm not sure. Ate Mcdonald's although I think it was a bad idea. Stomach trouble, you know . A kind-of irritating guy was sitting behind me . Was he gay? We had about 1 hour travelling and then we arrived. Finished eating my burger 'coz no outside food and drinks were allowed (really?). Went to the PRO (Park Relations Office) for a park map. Lined up for entrance. Said we had to exchange our Pasyal Pinoy ticket for an entrance ticket. Went to Brooklyn Place to look for a cap to battle the heat. Went inside a store (Bleecker Street). Ahhhh...cool airconditioning. Heaven. Chose a beige EK cap.`~.

4D Discovery Theater

¤ The ticketlady there was sort of unfriendly. No smiles. No welcoming greeting or at least being nice to the customer. Nothing. Wowee. You should try the 4D Discovery Theater sometime. Although it's short, it's somewhat worth it. I think the 'intermission' song was by Kitchie Nadal. It sounded like her voice. Haha. Anyway, Escape from Bane manor is a guy's story. Driving alone and happening to go into a big mansion. Sort-of like that. He reads something like if you manage to stay there you'd get the inheritance or something like that. I really couldn't be sure 'coz the audio (of the man's storytelling voice) wasn't quite clear to me. There are lots of surprises and thrills. There are 'air' effects or something, the seats move and vibrate. Sometimes there's some water coming out in front of you. And something in your legs too. But that's about it. Some effects are repetitive. Story isn't that good but just experiencing it is cool. ¤

Space Shuttle

¤ Whhhooooo! I really like roller coasters. Although it's short, it's really really fun. Two upside down spins. I wish it could last longer. Although it was really scorching hot, nothing could stop me from riding the coaster. I screamed out loud riding it...especially on the upside down thingies. Wicked! There was a time when I felt the handle (I dunno exactly what it's called) that was supposed to support you move. Luckily I was able to push it closer so it could support me during the anti-gravity turns. I think it was a coaster powered by hydraulic systems <- Uh...what? Sorry. Too much physics. ¤

Swan Lake

¤ This is where I learned how to maneuver a swan. Haha. It's just sort of a chill-out thing. Or not. My legs are still kind of aching after the pedaling work-out. Try it. It might be good exercise. Tita [A]my said she saw a stuck swan. Right under a shower thingy. I guess the people in the swan got a 'wittle' wet. ¤

Steeplechase Arcade

¤ Just arcade games. Tried the ring toss. Won nothing. Mostly went there for some airconditioning. ¤

Dodgem

¤ The bumper cars. Oh my gosh. It was so hot at that time. It's fun bumping into people (wahaha). Only it was very short. But then again, as I said it IS fun trying not to get squished or bumped by people. BuMp bUmP BuMp. I got stuck a couple of times. That's because some people just don't know how to steer and as a result, other knowledgeable people get stuck because of their stupid bumps. Just kidding. ¤

.~`Went through the Petreefied house for a quick sit-down and some rest. And some picture-taking.`~.

Wheel of Fate

¤ Here's where you go to get the most spectacular view of Enchanted Kingdom. It's like a living map from the top. Take your cameras and videocams with you when you ride, if possible, and get some quick pics or vids. We didn't bring ours during the ride and we regretted it. There were two strangers with us on the ride. Both of them spoke our dialect, Hiligaynon (or is it Illonggo?). ¤

Log Jam

¤ This ride rocks! I wanna ride it again. It's just like a roller coaster. Only in the water. I had to keep my cap inside my bag after the first drop (there are like two drops in all, one higher than the other). My cap was in danger of leaving my head. Haha. Exciting. You should try it. Watch out, though, bring extra changing clothes 'coz you'll get wet (especially on the last slide [?]). Make it a point to sit at the back if you only wanna get a few splashes, not get drenched. I sat at the front, so guess what happened to me? Soaked. But it was worth it. No fun without getting wet. Haha. ¤

Rio Grande Rapids

¤ The line to this ride was quite long. It just opened at 2 pm so I guess that's why people flocked to it. Also it looked like it was gonna rain. I noticed that during our ferris wheel ride. Due to the long line, I decided to have a 'loo' break. The CRs are quite okay. Spacy and could pass off as a little clean. It was better than most anyway. Back to the Rio Grande Rapids. Took the express lane so that I wouldn't have to wait in line (very long). There were 6 (should have been 7 ) of us in the little boat. On the first few seconds, I was already soaking wet. Well, mostly my bottom half was soaking wet. Why? Why did I have to be the one to absorb all the wetness? While the others just had fun going with the flow. Luckily, the others also had their share (hah!) but they were less soaked than I was . When I got out, I looked like I peed my pants. Or rather drowned my pants. I only had an extra shirt but I didn't think to bring extra pants. Well, it's still my first time. We all really learn the hard way. Better buy pants. But when I found out the price (P700 [although there WAS a seven, but still, that's a SkYrOcKeT] and they weren't even jeans), I decided to just let the pants dry out while we tried out the rest of the rides. ¤

.~`Water break! Ahhhhh! The lemon iced tea was refreshing after those rides! Sat down to drink and rest our tired selves. There were two cute children beside where we sat. Took a few pictures of fishes in a supposed-to-be [] pond. The little boy asked to see the pictures. He then said, Di ko naman nakikita... (I don't see them...) with a smile. How cute.`~.

Kart Trak

¤ Whooo. Go-kart racer for a day. Try it. It's cool! Even kiddies can drive. So whacha waitin' fo'? Haha! I'm, like, advertising here. Anyway, you get to drive on the track for nine minutes. It's your choice if you wanna treat it as a race or not. But for me, I'd rather not. There were also little rascals with me along with the a-okay professional drivers so I'd rather not risk it. Just go for a leisurely or at the most a "feel-the-wind-on-your-face" ride. Someone here drove a little too far. The go-kart spilled out of the tracks. I think it was a kid. ¤

Exodus Ride

¤ From the Filipino movie, Exodus, I think (which I haven't seen). This one let's you drive an ATV. It's a kind of motor-type vehicle with four wheels and it's supposed to tread any type of terrain. Riders need to view an instructional video about the ride. I wore shades and a sort-of mask for protection (from dust and other elements?) and also a helmet. Without the helmet, I looked like an armed robber. Haha. We started off slow trying to get the feel of the vehicle...then began to tread rough road, small hills, some not-so-small hills, a bridge-type structure, not-so-shallow mud water, a seesaw-type thingy and I guess others I forgot to mention. Just try it yourself if you doubt me. Downside of this ride: the track is kind-of short and it would have been better if they lengthened it and added more variation. We went through the same track/path again. But like all other rides, it's fun just experiencing it. ¤

.~`I have a newfound hobby: Go-karting! Haha. I just couldn't have enough of the go-kart. I rode again this time with Tita [A]my as my passenger. Haha...cool. At least I gained a little speed! I drove a little faster than the first time. Waha .`~.

Anchors Away

¤ Shaped like a pirate ship. Hmm...this ride just causes your stomach to...uhm...I don't know what it's called...but I bet you would know about it when you've ridden a roller coaster with a high drop or a fast ferris wheel. You know, the incident involving the insides of your stomach? That thing. Well, Anchors Away, like all the other rides, is short and mostly you'll just experience that tummy thing. ¤

Roller Skater

¤ The 'cars' in this one are shaped and made to look like shoes (or maybe rollerskates? I don't know. I saw them as shoes). It's a very, very less thrilling version of the Space Shuttle. I think it's more for the kiddies (or those who wouldn't dare trying the Space Shuttle). It's a really short ride even compared to the others. I don't think we even reached a minute staying on the Roller Skater. That was the last ride. Sort-of 'bitin' as we call it. But time waits for noone. ¤

.~`Then we chanced to witness a parade. Colorful. Interesting. Musical. Funny. Creative. Cute. (Huh, cute? Uhm...I don't think that was a parade description.) On the way to the van-shuttle , we bought some snow ice, quail egg siomai and orange juice [for me ] to quench our thirst and satisfy our hunger. Waha (whhhhaaaaattttttt?). It's time to go home...just waiting for boarding time. While waiting, there were some fireworks. They were cool to watch. Inside the van we go. Same places. I think the irritating guy was there again , but in a different placement. I heard some foreign sounding voices again (Salawayon?). And...home sweet house. Ahhhh! My comfy bed. Simple pleasures. What a tiring day...but kinda worth it! `~.

Spendthrifts Hide Desperation

.~`I had a sort-of headstart on the qualifying exam. But after the theory part (which was the Stockholder's Equity, I lagged behind). And I continued to lag as I was doing the problem solving questions. That's why I didn't finish the exam. Again. 2 questions unanswered. Approximately 5 points lost (or maybe even more). Add a lot of uncertainties and possibly, miscalculations into the mix. Let's hope for a miracle. I mean, miracles do happen, right? `~.
.~`I had this really creepy experience when I went home. You know those guys who loiter in the streets pretending to give things for free and later, demand that you pay them? Well, today I was unlucky. It was really freaky . Add this to the fact that I was still mulling over the examination. I was just in a hurry to go home. In fact, after that incident, I was so deep in my thoughts that I forgot to get out of the elevator on my floor. Instead, I got out when I realized that we had already passed my floor and I had to go down the stairs to reach the unit. Fortunately, the unit was only one level down.`~.
.~`After accepting the fact that I may not be able to continue being an Accountancy major (and being a teeny-bit comforted by the fact that I would have an alternative choice, although it's ECONOMICS *zZzZz...*, if *God forbid* I failed the qualifying exam), I decided to go to Robinsons with Tita [A]my and [L]enie. Bought food, a pillow for Tita [A]my, and a squirting fake calculator (for pranks). We agreed to watch POSEIDON. It was good. Lots of thrills and creative cinematography. Bought movies to watch and books after that. Hope I pass the quali. Hope. Hope. Hope. Please.`~.

.~`I didn't expect I would go back to Manila on May 15. As a result, I didn't get to attend Lolo's birthday. But according to [A]pril's text updates, I didn't miss all that much. There wasn't a band, just a disco, and [A]pril even said they were so bored that they fell asleep. Sigh. Life.`~.
.~`I fell asleep after I arrived in Manila. Then, I went to the internet cafe downstairs (ha. 23 floors down) to download some OPM songs and upload some pics. At last, I've downloaded a Narda mp3. Just because of that, I slept late again 'coz I made another jff (just-for-fun) sort-of music video of Narda starring my cousins (or at least, some of them). You should see it.`~.
